Good times at London City Airport

London City Airport has announced record visitor numbers for 2008.

The London airport saw over 3.3 million passengers last year, this is an overall increase of 12 per cent on 2007.

the have been a number of new developments at the airport during 2008 which have contributed to this increase including the news that British Airways is to launch an executive business class flight to New York from the airport, this new route is expected to be up and running by the autumn 2009.

Richard Gooding, Chief Executive at London City Airport said: “With a significant investment in facilities, a core emphasis on passenger experience and high service standards, 2008 has proved to be the most successful ever with another record year in terms of passenger numbers.”
